Jeg vil ikke

Jeg vil ikke (I won’t)
I won’t stare at that box any more
I’m completely done with it
Now I’ll throw out all the screens
tablets and telephones
I’ve thrown away enough time
I’ve thrown away enough time
Now I’ll take my guitar and sit down on the train
Find some inspiration and write some new songs
Go into the studio and put them on the net
If I get the invitation I can play right away!

Vi har det for godt (We Have it Too Good)
We have it too good
Eat up boxes of too much food
We have it too good
Eat up and drink up, throw up and hiccup

Kom igjen (Come on)
Come on we need to get on with it
Can’t lay here and fake it
Come on we need to get on with it
Can’t lay here and fake it
Will you putz around in your mom’s wool socks?
Will you stare at the TV like it’s 94?
Will you live on frozen pizza and pepsi max?
If you survive it’s just luck
Will you rot away in an office?
Subscribe to Fortune Magazine?
Will you save for a villa with a swimming pool?
Yeah, but you really need a little boot to the head
Do you have a dream of getting out?
Well then get on with it
Nothing happens by itself
Do it yourself, until you bleed

Gjenbruksbutikk (Thrift Shop)
Me and my brother will go for a trip, we have an important errand
Suddenly we see a thrift shop, so of course we must stop
There is a lot of good music, the experts threw away their discs
They will hear on an app for rest of their lives, and that’s fine for me
Me and my brother will go for a tour, we have an important mission
Suddenly we see a thrift shop, so of course we must stop
There are a lot of good books, the intellectuals threw away their books
They will stare at a screen for the rest of their lives, and that’s fine for me
To the thrift store – see all that we snagged!
To the thrift store – look at all of this swag!

Interrail
This summer you and I will sit on a train,
We will have the kids with us too
It will surely be fun yeah yeah yeah yeah,
Have you rememebered the train tickets?
We come down south to Kristiansand
Take the ferry over to Denmark
Find a place to relax
But the kids fly around, so that’s enough of that
Let’s go on Interrail,
Surely nothing will fail
Where shall we go, everything must be planned
Same for me as I have said
Certainly stop in a North-German town
Find a place to shelter us
The kids want to go to an amusement park
I feel like I need a drink
Oh lord where is the next train?
Oh lord when goes the next train?

Helg igjen (Weekend Again)
Came home from work
Shopped food along the way
Made delicious dinner
And I have washed up
Flipped through the paper
Read about the crisis
Now I’ll see a film
Now I’ll see a film
Now it’s Friday again
Fall asleep on the sofa
Crept up in the bed
Early up in the morning
Find something to do on Saturday
Maybe paint the house
Shop food for the week
Is something going on tonight?
Going on tonight
Now it’s Saturday night again
So now it’s Sunday
Always a nice a easy day
Should we go to church
Hear a bit about Jesus
Or go for a walk
Out in God’s nature
Get psyched up for the week
Get psyched up for the week
Now it’s soon weekend again

Bibliotekarblues (Librarian Blues)
I go back home with so many books,
Never find time to read them
Never have time to read a book
Librarian blues
Must recommend you books,
Point you to a good book
I never have time to read it myself
Librarian blues
Unfortunately we don’t have that book
It’s loaned out or thrown out
Meet me after work so you can shop it from me
Librarian blues
I go back home with so many books,
Never find time to read them

Rockenrollen er død (Rock and Roll is Dead)
The rock and roll is dead
It doesn’t matter if you like rock and roll
The rock and roll is dead
Didn’t you hear
The kids listen to techno now
The rock and roll has become an old dance
Punk became polka
Metal became mayonnaise
The rock and roll is dead

UDI (Directorate of Immigration)
Small children they come to the border
We know that we need to let them in
Give them food and a place to live
Pretend like they found a life
Don’t believe that they have any future
When they are adults we must send them out
We have used to much money on them
They must see that they must go out
We are UDI, we must send them out.
Strategic measures to block social relations
We are UDI, we must send them out.

Vinterferie (Winter holiday)
Now it’s the winter break, a whole week free
We will pack the car, travel to the mountains and a new life
It’s surely going to be fun to get out of here
The kids will experience snow and get new winter clothes
In the evening we’ll be cozy on the sofa
Play yatzy until were dead, and light the fireplace
But everyone knows how it goes – not quite as planned
The kids were sick the first day and vomited on us in bed
When we finally got going on a tour I lost a ski
The coffee was cold, the kids screamed, and the grill wouldn’t light
I just want to go home, to my own bed
I just want to go home with you
Away is good but home is best
Away is good but home is best
Away is good but home is a fest
Away is good but home is best
